In the Customization-To Do List in home page or under Product Management > Product Customization, you can find new messages from buyers in the status column as a seller. This means that buyers have customization request on your products. At this point you can simply click on this message to initiate product customization function to reply buyers.
When Product Customization window opens, you will see three sections, the status list on upper left ( tells you how much customization is in process and the status and the corresponding trading partners list ), customized product list on upper right ( when you click on a number in the status list and customized message represented by the number will appear in this area for your choice ), the message editing area at the bottom. At this point the product from buyers customized message content directly appear in the message editing area, waiting for your reply.
You can reply buyer’s product customization message in the message editing area. It is divided into three parts:
Basic Product Info
The basic info about this product will be displayed here. All the info ( except the New Article No .) in this area can not be changed.
Customization conditions
The requests, the counter offers, and the final agreements from negotiating the specification, packaging, and the pricing of the original product are designed to be done here. What have been agreed upon in this area will become the product detail of the newly customized products. For the products you wish to change their Specification, Packaging, or Pricing Structure, you should first uncheck the Confirm / No Change check box, and the dialogue area will become editable. You can then change the content according to your required Specification, Packaging, or Pricing Structure. If you wish not to change any one or two of the three dialogues, you can leave the box checked ( Confirm / No Change ) to indicate that YOU WILL LEAVE THE CONTENT WITHIN THIS AREA UNCHANGED AS YOUR CONFIRMATION.
For the change you or your counter party made, you will see a yellow warning sign on top to remind you that there are changes been made in this dialogue. If you click on this warning sign, a Differ Tool window will appear to specify the changes. About the Pricing Info area, it is very important to fill in all the brackets to complete the request. You will need to specify the Total Required Quantity of this product which you ought to purchase before the Expired Date and specify the minimum purchase quantity per order in your ideal unit price. In this case, YOU CAN NEGOTIATE A PRICE FOR A PERIOD WITH PARTIAL SHIPMENT OPTION. The Seller will be noticed when the expiration is due, but this customized product will not be unpublished automatically. It will have to be unpublished manually by the seller. In other words, Seller can decide if the negotiated result has been fulfilled, and this deal should be continued or ended.
Discussion Area
You can discuss or negotiate with your buyer or seller in text in the discussion area. The content and time of discussions will be recorded in history for future reference.
